Short Story and Flash Fiction Anthologies

Short Story and Flash Fiction Anthologies

Flash fiction and short stories were my first foray into writing down the fiction ideas in my head, and also into publication. After years of writing about the themes and subjects that interested me, I realised I was drawn to a couple of genres and character voices. Short story anthologies allow me not only to have my stories featured alongside some of the best in their class, but also to find a home for these types of stories: the first being contemporary horror, and the second being how we as humans, particularly women and girls, navigate our humanity.

I’m very proud to have contributed to the anthologies below, and am grateful for the opportunities to share my writing.

HORRORific Tales Volume Four: Eldritch Terror

An anthology series curated from the wonderful contributors to The HORRORific Podcast. Each volume is themed and delves into various sub-genres and lore of horror.

The veil is thin between our realm and the Void.. On the other side are things that lurk, always watching and always hungry…. No matter the reason, humanity was never meant to glimpse into the abyss, for what stares back brings only horror!

My story, The Ferry, is set in Belfast, a place I know well. It follows Stevie Kane, a longstanding exile from his homeland, who takes a midnight ferry and a rainy bus ride to a place and time he would much rather leave in the past.
